Accomplishments

Fiscal Health – After previous administrations let our fund reserves dwindle and raised property taxes over the New York State cap, our Democratic leadership has brought our finances in check. We’ve delivered balanced budgets and a fund reserve that’s triple the size of when we took office, and we’ve held the line on taxes. By securing almost $11 million in grants over the past eight years, we’ve improved our town without burdening our residents with more taxes.

Revitalized Business District – The revitalized Scotts Corners and new Village Green are just a few examples of how Kevin and his team have supported small businesses and delivered vibrant public spaces to shop, eat, and enjoy Pound Ridge. Through outside funding, we transformed a rundown town center into new sidewalks, new businesses, and award-winning greenspace.

Maintaining our Town – Through the town’s purchase of the 7 Old Pound property, we’ve preserved a vital public space that was at risk of overdevelopment. We don’t want a stoplight in town any more than you do, and even more importantly, we don’t want massive developments that fundamentally change the town’s character. So when we were under threat of a developer taking over the property for large housing developments, we acted to purchase the property at a low price and keep it for public use.
