State Comptroller Gives Pound Ridge High Marks

The New York State Comptroller’s 2024 Fiscal Stress Monitoring Report for Pound Ridge confirms that the town’s financial position is outstanding. The Comptroller uses a 100-point scale, with fiscal stress beginning at a score of 45. Pound Ridge scored just 6.7, placing us firmly in the “No Designation” category—the best possible rating. The report credited our $7 million fund balance, consistent operating surpluses, healthy cash reserves, and very low debt and fixed costs as signs of continued financial stability.
